What types of custom projects do you take on?

I welcome a range of custom projects, from entirely new designs to pieces that reimagine sentimental or heirloom jewelry. The best projects are those where your ideas and my design aesthetic feel naturally aligned.

Where are you located?

I work from my private studio in Seattle, Washington. Consultations can take place in person or virtually, depending on your location and the format that best suits you.

How much does a custom piece cost?

Custom projects start at $1,500, with final pricing determined by the complexity of the design, materials, gemstones, and complexity of the piece.

How does the custom process work?

After filling out my custom intake form (located here), I will reach out to you to set up a time to meet virtually or in person. This is just an initial chat to discuss your vision for the piece and get to know you a bit.

If it feels like a good fit for both of us, your custom project officially begins with a non-refundable $500 Design Phase fee that covers the research, sourcing, and design development required to create a one-of-a-kind custom piece designed specifically for you.

Based on our conversations, I’ll develop two design concepts along with preliminary ballpark pricing estimates. Once a design has been selected and approved, production begins with a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance due upon completion and prior to delivery.

Can you work with stones or gold from my existing jewelry?

Yes, in most cases I’m happy to explore incorporating sentimental or heirloom materials into a new piece. This is a beautiful way to breathe new life into storied pieces that may need a little love or reimagining to be wearable. Stones and metals will first need to be evaluated to determine whether they’re suitable for reuse, and how they might best be incorporated into the design.

Please keep in mind that preparing existing jewelry for reuse can involve additional steps, from carefully removing and evaluating stones to disassembling pieces and refining metal. This additional work is factored into the cost of the project, so using your own materials may not always result in a lower overall cost. I’ll walk you through the options so we can determine the best approach for your piece.

Can I send inspiration photos?

Yes! Reference images and mood boards are a helpful starting point to communicate the design elements that you’re drawn to and your jewelry aesthetic. From there we can pull colors, textures, shapes and silhouettes that will inform the design for your custom piece.
